The Alaska State Committee for Research (SCoR) is seeking nominations for inductees to our 2016 Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame 

SCoR invites nominations for innovators demonstrating outstanding science, engineering and technology.  SCoR believes in promoting research and development as an enterprise and as an engine for economic development in Alaska.  Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame was created in 2014 to celebrate and honor outstanding individuals who put Alaska on the map as leaders in innovation and contribute to Alaska’s growing culture of innovation. 

SCoR’s Hall of Fame Subcommittee will review nomination documents and publicly available information about nominees to develop a list of recommended inductees.  Recommendations will be submitted to SCoR committee for consideration and selection.  UA’s Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research will notify all nominees in November.  Eight (8) inductees will be selected and recognized during a ceremony the first week of December, in Anchorage, Alaska.

To nominate a person for election, please submit the following:

  • Personal letter of nomination describing nominee’s innovation and impact

(Use illustrations/photos as appropriate)

  • Nominee’s contact information
  • Full CV
  • List of references
  • Evidence of the nominee’s impact
  • Supporting letters written by other individuals in addition to the nominator

Submit all documentation no later than October 1, 2016.  Electronic submission can be sent to djvivlamore2@alaska.edu with a subject line “2016 Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame Nomination Packet for [nominee’s name]”.  Submission via mail may be sent to “SCoR Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame Nomination Committee” c/o UA Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, P.O. Box 755000, Fairbanks, AK 99775-5000.  Please note self-nominations are not accepted.
